Sculpture and Pie

I went to the Bert Flugelman exhibition today with #1 son. I was going to go to the opening but missed that, but wanted to not miss it overall. It is very good indeed. Above is a work entitled Wrath of God.

Another effing pie (blueberry and apple), god I am sick of them now that I am supposed to be making them, for some obscure blog related exercise. If interested, for the next few days I will be eating plain rice.

Israel, Syria, Colombia

You may recall a while back I made a plea for Israelis to vote for Tzipi Livni in the now just passed general election. Following my endorsement I see her Kadima Party has won the most seats. However having the party with the most seats does not guarantee government and so coalition forming is now taking place, our hope and prayers must still be with Livni in the hopes that she can form government and be Prime Minister.

On a Middle Eastern note, at the recent Multicultural Festival, at which various countries were represented with stalls, offering food, information and free gifts. The Syrians being their jolly selves were the only ones who saw the necessity to have a picture of their beloved dictator (baby doc Assad) on display. They also seemed shy of photos, funny that. The Israeli stall btw had cake, nice cake with fruit and ground nuts.

The Colombians at the festival were much friendlier, and better dancers.

Craft

When all else fails, make a softie. Thus I have bought a sewing kit.
